Carol started at Sanders in 1972 at the tender age of 16 and trained as a R.A.N.A (Registered Animal Nursing Auxiliary), qualifying in 1976. Her claim to fame is being awarded Nurse of the Year at The BSAVA Congress in 1976 and her other moment in the spotlight was on her first school trip, aged 7, to Bristol Zoo where she got too "up close and personal" with a Baboon, resulting in a bitten finger (hers, not his).
After 9 years Carol left to have her first daughter and continued to work part-time for some years. Later her role developed into a more managerial role and assumed the title of Practice Manager.
In the very little spare time Carol has, she enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters and following their choir activities. She enjoy all kinds of music and musicals, and travel.
