Laura Humphreys

Laura moved to Wales to live with her partner on a beautiful farm near Usk. She graduated from Bristol University in 2009, and during her degree had some fantastic placements including working at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. Laura initially worked in a busy mixed practice in Kent, and then a small animal hospital in Windsor, where she gained a lot of emergency and out-of-hours experience. She left reluctantly in 2014 but was pleased to join such a dedicated team at Sanders, and loves living in Wales.

Outside of work, Laura is surrounded by animals: a black Labrador called Murray and a mad ginger cat called Angus.

She loves being outdoors, and tries to go horse riding as often as possible. Laura also enjoys drawing and painting when she can find the time. She is also a keen blues/soul singer and can often be found at open mic nights locally. Laura became Head Vet in December 2014, and feels lucky to work with such a lovely team.
